My experience with Hearts of Gold during my time at WVU helped me land an internship at Assistance Dog of Hawaii in Maui, Hawaii and also led me to meet my now husband, Tyler. I have loved continuing to help dogs help people and am now the Training Director at Assistance Dogs of Hawaii. Tyler and I met and fell in love through the Hearts of Gold program. Fall semester 2019 we both were TA’s for the same service dog lab and also fostered dogs for the program. We quickly became friends and it became so much more. Thank you Hearts of Gold for everything you do!
